Those of us familiar with Bayonne noticed a slight addition to the most recent trailer -- Spielberg added a line of houses were none existed. But this is nothing new for War of the Worlds, in which Spielberg did a lot of construction to get the look he wanted for his film. Here are some of the images and the reality.

Not only do we have new houses on this vacant lot next to the low white building, but roof tops above the building in the film. The photo immediately beneath I took during the six day shoot depicting no peaked roofed buidlings as you get in the film.
